Field Of Sunflowers
My brother and I visited my grandpa's place over the summer break. You can run as far as you like in the countryside without being reprimanded.
We would hunt for bugs and fish in the morning, eat rice balls when we got hungry, have watermelon for a snack, then play hide-and-seek in the late afternoon. She went outdoors with her brother because my grandpa's house is three floors high and he still wanted to play outside. She discovered an entrance at the top of the slope as she continued along the gravel road.
"Hey, Onii-chan, over there."
I indicate the color yellow.
Oh, a field of sunflowers. I'm sure my brother is thinking the same thing.
We giggle as we stare at each other.
He objected when I suggested playing hide-and-seek there the following time, saying, "But father told you not to go in there." Children are helpless and unable to participate in anything because adults are crafty, that is all.
No other location appears good after visiting the forest and the river, so I pushed my brother back while adding, "It's okay if it's just a little bit." He hesitated for a moment before responding, "Well, no one is watching, and if someone comes, all you have to do is apologize."
I made a turn in that direction and walked towards the sunflower field while counting down the ten seconds before my brother hid.
Although it appeared to be lengthy from the front, the back had just around three rows, and I soon found myself in a rice field. My grandfather grows vegetables in this location. What a letdown—I had expected it to be wider.
"ow!"
I stumbled over something and fell as I turned around to search for my brother. My knee hurts from the scrape, but more than that, I was worried about the white substance that was emerging from the ground. I dug it up while wondering what it was, screaming.
It was a child's bone that was around my height. From the stomach portion, sunflowers are blooming. As I dug, I discovered the bones of a head and hands, and I immediately understood why I was unable to enter. I must inform my brother as quickly as I can.
"Onii-chan, let's go back; this place is strange."

Push through the waves of sunflowers and shout in a quivering voice to your brother. no response. I can only hear the raucous cries of oil cicadas, even if I shout for them to cease playing hide and seek.
My brother was standing there looking up at the sky as I arrived at the gravel road. It seems weird when I approach him as he struggles for breath. Things are peculiar. He sways like an inebriated parent. The distinction was that it moved in time with the nearby sunflowers.
"Onii-chan? " What's not right?
Big brother has his mouth open and is focusing on the sun. He should be unable to open his eyes if you gaze straight at him due to the glare, yet despite my calls for him to speak and my blows to him, he remains silent.
We should leave right away since Mom and Dad will be concerned.
Shaking and pulling him didn't work, so I made the decision to drag it home against my will.
My brother was still in the skies when I returned home and ate dinner. I observe that the mother and father are both odd. I snuck out in silence since I didn't want to get in trouble. The ladder rattled while I was hidden in the ceiling. Grandpa approached me as I was curled up in a corner.
"Boy, why are you here?"
"Grandpa..." I started crying.
"Grandpa won't be upset if you tell me what happened to your brother."
When my brother and I went into the sunflower field to play hide-and-seek, I told Grandpa how when I dug up the spot where we tripped, a sunflower was sprouting out of the bone.
Tears started to spring up in my eyes as I realized it was my fault that my brother had turned out that way, and by the end, I was just sobbing without being able to say anything.
Is that accurate?
Grandpa rubbed my head without becoming irate. Had he been able to forgive me?
You're a guy; shouldn't you want to accept accountability?
Grandpa grabbed a sunflower seed from his pocket and yanked it into his mouth while speaking softly while holding my head in his loving palm up until this point.
"Eat!"
"No, no, and no!"
I struggled to hold the seeds back with my mouth without swallowing them. Grandpa gives me the spilt seed by picking it up once more. I have no idea why he would act that way.
"No! Complete the task!"
My father and mother arrived when I yelled, but they were helping my grandpa and tried to restrain me while forcing me to eat the seeds like when I go to the dentist.
Saying "I'm sorry"
"sorry"
My mother and father were both irrational. How come you're crying?
While I was on my rage, I swallowed one seed. Grandpa carried me outdoors while my mouth was restrained to prevent me from throwing up.
"Mmm, mm!"
Where do you want to take me? Let me down, I'm terrified, and I wanted to say sorry for no longer walking into the sunflower field, but I'm unable to speak. I felt bad after eating the seed.
Grandpa begged for the child to be returned as he flung me into the sunflower field. Instead, could you please accept this child. He returns without turning around.
"Grandpa, wait, wait!"
I tried to run after Grandpa when I could finally open my mouth, but I was unable to catch up with Him. I kept travelling in circles in the same spot and was unable to leave the gravel road, not even in the rice field. why? In just a short stroll, I ought to be able to leave that place.
“Grandpa! Father! Mother!
No matter how much I sobbed, I was unable to resume driving. My body had already become green by the time my eyes stung and I realized my tears had transformed into sunflower seeds.
"Ahhh! This is what?
I suddenly felt my leg give way. It was filthy. My stomach ached, and I knelt down as I collapsed. Sunflowers will certainly swell out like those bones, I'm sure. No, no, no, I wasn't doing anything serious.
It aches so much. My tummy aches. My body makes an unsettling noise. It grew, inflated like a balloon, and swelled up. A large sunflower that towers over me by a wide margin. I tried to explain that I didn't want it anymore, but all that came out of my mouth were yellow flowers.
In the country, Kaito was traveling with his grandfather on a dirt road. He had a surge of emotion when he passed by the sunflower field.
Unconsciously, tears began to fall down his cheeks, and he felt as though he had lost something very significant.
Asking, "What are you looking at?"
Kaito said, "No, it's nothing," despite his grandfather's customary tone of voice, which Kaito believed was tacitly instructing him not to look any further.
"Listen, you must not enter here at all. You'll receive a penalty. You are my most prized and prized granddaughter. Do you comprehend? stated with hands clasped.
Kaito nodded, "Yeah, I get it. Only the
sunflower sprouting from his younger sibling bent its head regretfully in his direction as it all looked up at the June light at once.
