Sebastian The Butler  

 

My name is Sebastian Chan, but  The name officially used is Sebas Sebastia.  Sebas is always the name of the head of the Sebastia family's eldest son.  

Maurice is the name of my brother, by the way.  A particular marquis family has been served by the Sebastia family for many years.  

The eldest son oversees the servants in the villa in the royal capital, and the second son in the main palace in the territorial capital, which sets them apart from regular aristocrats.  And regardless of gender, the following child will inherit the Sebastian head family.  

My younger sister currently serves as the Sebastia family's head. Additionally, the second son and the oldest son are not permitted to wed.  They shall give the Lord their entire lives.  

The next to serve the Lord will be Viscount Sebastia's eldest and second sons.  We must take care of them.  

As the new steward, my nephew is training with me.  At his primary apartment in the city, my younger brother is instructing my younger nephew.  

Both are outstanding and will probably relinquish our positions soon.  We've wandered off subject.Oh course, it explains why my name was Sebastian and not Sebas.  "Hi, I'm Anna,"  Miss Anna, who made such statement, was a toddler at the time.  

I had recently moved from the capital's primary residence to its secondary location, thus it was the first time I had seen her.  

The family patriarch is responsible for the golden hair and crystal-clear blue eyes.  We servants fell in love with her right away since she was such a nice person.  

The young lady's deceased mother was from a low-ranking nobleman in another nation, and I could tell that she was grieving her loss from the way she spoke.   She was undoubtedly warmly referred to as "Anna-chan" by her mother.  

Anna-chan consumes desserts.  Please extend a warm welcome to Anna.  

The cuteness of the young woman who addressed herself with honorifics, probably because she was mimicking her servants' language.  

I didn't want to seem indulgent, but I believe she felt far more comfortable around me than the chief chamberlain, who would need to pay greater attention to teach her how to behave appropriately for a marquis' daughter.  And it had been roughly a month since the young woman had arrived in Tokyo.  

The young lady abruptly called me this.  "Sebas-chan is dear to Anna-chan."  I let go of the papers I was holding.  The title "Chan" is so welcoming and adorable for a servant like me!  Sebas also has a soft spot for Anna.   

I deserve respect for being able to quickly gather myself and repay that.   It appears that those that were present fled the place the quickest and laughed loudest in the waiting area.   

The head maid then reprimanded her for failing to give the servants titles, but she refused to listen, claiming that "Sebas-chan is an important person in Anna-chan's house." I began to hear "Sebas-chan" from even the mansion-sama.   Since then, almost thirty years have elapsed.  

I started going by Sebas-chan instead of "Sebastian" at some time, and today very few people are aware of the change.  After all, you don't recall the woman in question.   

I am referred to as "Sebaschan-san" by a fresh young lady who was born with a son-in-law.   What's the "san" over the "chan"?  This should have two honorifics, right?  

I want you to call me out, as for myself.    Sebas-chan is a significant figure in this household.   

You speak with your mother's voice.  Is your heart of kindness a product of your ancestry?   There have been a lot of Sebas.  

There will be many more Sebas to help you.   The only person who was referred to as "Sebas-chan" was me.  Oh, I'm the only one. 

I've already made provisions in my will for "Sebas-chan Sebastia" to be inscribed on the epitaph.  So let's re-train Sebas, our nephew, today.   I pray that I live a little bit longer so that I can embrace Miss Anna's grandkids.
